First Look of Shahid Kapoor in O’Romeo Unveiled
Mumbai: The much-anticipated poster for the film O’Romeo was revealed on Friday, showcasing Shahid Kapoor in the role of Romeo.
Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, this film promises to deliver a distinctive cinematic journey. The initial glimpse of Shahid's character reveals a blend of menace and quirkiness, hinting at the emotional depth and drama that O’Romeo aims to present.
Joining Shahid in this project are Triptii Dimri and Nana Patekar. The film is scheduled to hit theaters on February 13, 2026. This marks another collaboration between Shahid Kapoor and the acclaimed filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj.
This project represents the fourth time Shahid and Vishal have worked together, following their successful films Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon. Their partnership began with Kaminey, where Shahid played twin brothers with starkly different personalities—one timid and the other bold. The film's dark humor and intricate storytelling highlighted both Vishal's directorial prowess and Shahid's acting versatility, earning widespread praise.
In 2014, they reunited for Haider, a reimagining of Shakespeare’s Hamlet set against the backdrop of Kashmir's turmoil. Shahid's portrayal of a tormented young man seeking vengeance was one of his finest performances, grappling with themes of love, betrayal, and political strife.
