Mumbai: On Tuesday, celebrated actress Shabana Azmi shared a delightful moment with her husband, the esteemed lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar, showcasing his intense dedication to his craft. In an Instagram post, Azmi humorously noted that while she appreciated the beautiful surroundings, Akhtar was deeply engrossed in his writing.

The image captures Javed completely absorbed in his work, while Shabana gazes into the camera, highlighting the contrast between his creative focus and her candid demeanor.

In her caption, she remarked, “The writer writes oblivious to the scenic beauty but there is peace and serenity in this photo.”

Azmi pointed out how her husband was overlooking the beauty around him as he diligently worked on his creative endeavors.

Recently, Javed Akhtar expressed strong views regarding Pakistan, asserting that India has consistently sought to improve relations with its neighboring countries.

During a book launch event in Andheri West, Mumbai, he criticized Pakistan and its military's intentions.

He stated, “India has always made genuine efforts to better the relationship with Pakistan. We opened cultural channels with Pakistan and its artists. But you can’t clap with one hand; Pakistan never made any solid efforts to make things better.”

Akhtar emphasized that despite India's legitimate claims over Kashmir, it has never acted aggressively, contrasting this with Pakistan's actions.

He remarked, “There is such a big dispute in Kashmir. In spite of our claim, we have never been aggressive. In fact, many people complain, ‘why are you not aggressive?’ We are not that. So the aggression has always been from that side. So this is not right.”

One significant instance of Pakistan's aggression towards India is Operation Gibraltar, executed by the Pakistan Army in August 1965, aimed at inciting unrest in Jammu and Kashmir.
