Shabana Azmi Participates in CJP's Protest March

Renowned Bollywood actress Shabana Azmi took part in the Sansad Chalo March organized by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Delhi. The protest aimed to address the ongoing issues surrounding alleged exam paper leaks. Throughout the day, Azmi has been actively sharing her experiences from the protest on her social media platforms. Recently, she uploaded a video where she recited an Urdu couplet reflecting on the price of truth. Additionally, she mentioned that she received assistance from younger colleagues to reach the protest site at Jantar Mantar.

Shabana Azmi Recites Urdu Couplets at the Protest

In a video shared on her Instagram, Shabana Azmi expressed, "Alan e Haq mein khatra e daar o rasan tto hai lekin sawaal ye hai ke daar o rasan ke baad?" This translates to: "Declaring the truth invites the threat of the scaffold and the rope. Yet the real question is: what lies beyond the scaffold and the rope?" The veteran actress elaborated that the couplet emphasizes the risks associated with speaking the truth, suggesting that such courage may lead to persecution or even death, but poses a profound question about what follows such sacrifices.

Azmi further stated that the couplet serves as a reminder that truth can endure beyond oppression, and martyrdom does not signify the end. She also emphasized the need for educational reforms and called for a comprehensive overhaul of the system, advocating for 6% of GDP to be allocated to education, public health, and women's empowerment.

Hema Malini Comments on the CJP Protest

Following her attendance at the opening day of the Parliament Monsoon Session, Hema Malini addressed the media regarding the CJP-led protest concerning the alleged exam paper leaks. She suggested that any issues should be resolved through dialogue rather than protests, stating, "Protesting in this manner won't achieve anything." Malini also pointed out that the current government has made significant contributions to the youth and education sectors. Additionally, actress and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut remarked that the government has the authority to make decisions regarding its operations, emphasizing that one cannot pressure the government into making personnel changes.
