SEVENTEEN's Future Secured

Rumors regarding the disbandment of the K-pop sensation SEVENTEEN have been put to rest as the group has officially announced that all 13 members have renewed their contracts with Pledis Entertainment. This news comes amidst ongoing speculation about the future of K-pop, especially following departures from groups like NewJeans, NCT, and ENHYPEN. The announcement has provided reassurance to their dedicated fanbase, known as CARATs, confirming that the entire group will continue their journey together. This heartfelt revelation was made during a live concert, adding to the emotional significance for fans who have supported them for over a decade.

SEVENTEEN's Commitment to Each Other

The leader, S.Coups, shared this pivotal news during the concluding performance of the 'SEVENTEEN WORLD TOUR [NEW_ENCORE]' at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium on April 5. He addressed the audience, revealing the group's unanimous decision to stick together, especially as fans were anxious about their future. He stated, “It would have been nice if Hoshi and Yuji were together, but after having a lot of deep conversations among our members, all 13 of us decided to renew our contracts together.” He emphasized their commitment, saying, “We will work hard in the same boat and move forward.”

S.Coups expressed his wish to share this news directly with fans, mentioning, “I thought it would be better to talk about this before (caratland) happens. Jonghan and Wonwoo are here to hear this, and I wish Woozi and Hoshi were too. But the 13 of us have decided to re-sign our contracts and we will continue to sail on a same boat all together.” Although nine members were present on stage, Jeonghan and Wonwoo, who are currently serving in alternative military roles, watched from the audience. Woozi and Hoshi, also fulfilling their duties, could not attend, making the moment even more poignant.

Fans Celebrate SEVENTEEN's Unity

Following S.Coups' announcement, CARATs took to social media to express their joy and relief. Many fans shared their gratitude and excitement, with comments celebrating the group's enduring unity. Messages such as “SEVENTEEN forever together” and “Thank you for existing” reflect the strong bond between the group and their supporters. Here are a few comments:

SEVENTEEN made their debut on May 26, 2015, with the EP '17 Carat,' which achieved remarkable success, including being the longest-charting K-pop album of the year in the United States at that time. Over the years, the group has established a solid reputation as a self-producing act, with members actively involved in songwriting, music production, and choreography. This contract renewal is particularly noteworthy as SEVENTEEN has maintained all 13 members without any departures or replacements for 11 years. The group includes S.Coups, Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, The8, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino.
