Saumya Tandon has made her comeback in Dhurandhar 2, reprising her character from the original film directed by Aditya Dhar. In the first movie, she portrayed Ulfat, the wife of Rehman Dakait. Following the theatrical release of Dhurandhar The Revenge, the cast gathered for a celebratory after-party, where Saumya was also in attendance. She took to social media to share a collection of candid photos and videos from the event, joyfully posing alongside Ranveer Singh, Aditya Dhar, and Yami Gautam. In her post, she acknowledged Aditya Dhar and Ranveer Singh, humorously mentioning how they joked about wanting to be slapped by her, which led to her being dubbed the 'slapping queen'.
She praised Yami as 'super talented' and referred to Sara Arjun as a 'rising star', while also commending Shashwat Sachdev as an 'incredible' force behind the film. Saumya also took a moment to snap a picture with her fellow Shararat co-stars Ayesha Khan and Krystle D'Souza, as well as her old friend Manav Gohil. In a previous interview, Saumya shared that she attempted to 'cheat slap' Akshaye Khanna during a scene in Dhurandhar. However, director Aditya insisted that she deliver a real slap. "There was a close-up of him where I tried to cheat slap him. Aditya then told me that I needed to go for it for real because we would have to repeat it due to the close magnification, and cheating wouldn't work. So, I really slapped him during his close-up," she explained.
