In her conversation with PEOPLE, Sherman reminisced about how she had previously stated that her unique mullet hairstyle was inspired by McCartney's look during his Wings days. Upon their meeting, McCartney instantly recognized her hairstyle. Sherman recounted, "I was doing a bit about how I have his mullet from his Wings era, and he approached me after the show, tugged on my mullet, and asked, 'Is it real or is it a wig?'" She humorously confirmed that it was her actual hair.
After their interaction, Sherman took to social media to share her excitement, joking that she would never wash her mullet again. She later recounted the unforgettable moment on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where Kimmel noted the uniqueness of having a Beatle pull on her mullet. Sherman playfully replied, "Honey, he can do whatever he wants to me," showcasing her lighthearted take on the encounter.

She expressed her affection for his music, stating, "Paul McCartney, I love you, you're amazing. McCartney II is my all-time favorite album, and Temporary Secretary is my favorite song."
