In her Instagram post honoring Head, Gellar quoted a line from Buffy: "Tell Giles I figured it out and I’m ok." Head played Giles, Buffy's mentor, guiding her as a vampire slayer. Reflecting on this, Gellar admitted she didn’t have everything figured out and wasn’t okay. She expressed gratitude for having known him, stating, "Thank you to Daisy and Emily who not only shared their dad with me, but with the world." Eliza Dushku, who portrayed Faith, referred to Head as a "dear one," expressing gratitude for every moment shared and wishing him peace.

James Marsters, known for his role as Spike, shared that Head was a kind and steady presence on set, praising him as the finest actor among the cast. He echoed Gellar's feelings of gratitude for having learned from Head. David Boreanaz, who played Angel, remembered Head as a brother, emphasizing that he would always remember him for his laughter and smile.

Other cast members, including Charisma Carpenter and Emma Caulfield, also expressed their sorrow. Carpenter, who played Cordelia, noted that fans mourned the loss of Giles, who became a father figure to many. Caulfield described Head as "kind and wise," a guiding light during difficult times.

Tributes from Ted Lasso Stars

Head was also known for his role in the Emmy-winning series Ted Lasso, where he played Rupert Mannion, the former owner of AFC Richmond. Goldstein, who stars as Roy Kent, shared on his Instagram Stories that Head was an exceptional actor, capable of portraying a character with negative traits while being a genuinely wonderful person. He sent love to Head's family during this difficult time.

Jeremy Swift, who plays Leslie Higgins, posted a smiling photo of them together on Instagram, writing, “Goodbye Tony, we adored you. Rest in Peace, my friend.”
