Sanjeev Kapoor Embraces AI in Cooking: A Culinary Revolution Ahead!
Sanjeev Kapoor Discusses AI's Impact on Culinary Arts
Mumbai: Renowned chef Sanjeev Kapoor recently shared his insights on the increasing influence of artificial intelligence in the culinary world.
During a recent discussion, Kapoor emphasized that technology should not be viewed with apprehension but rather embraced as a means of progress.
When queried about AI's role in cooking, he remarked, "Regardless of whether it's AI or any other technological advancement, adaptation is essential. We have always evolved, be it during the internet age or now with AI. New innovations will continue to emerge, and we must advance alongside them. Therefore, we shouldn't fear technology; instead, we should strive to integrate it into our practices."
In an exciting development, Hansal Mehta, a director from Kapoor's acclaimed cooking show "Khana Khazana," is currently working on India's inaugural AI-driven cooking series titled "Khana Dil Se."
Mehta described food as a vessel of memory, stating, "AI will serve not only as a visual and imaginative aid but also as a partner in storytelling. 'Khana Dil Se' aims to reclaim food as a vital aspect of our cultural heritage."
Highlighting the cultural importance of cooking, Mehta added, "When you prepare a dish from another culture, you are not merely following a recipe; you are engaging with a fragment of someone else's life. Recipes encapsulate rich histories: of land, migration, and the hands of grandmothers. They are among humanity's most enduring cultural artifacts, passed down through generations and across borders, surviving when little else does. This is what makes food a genuine lens through which to understand people and their identities."
