He shared that Balraj Ghai’s parents were pleading with the authorities, asserting their innocence. Notably, both Samay and Balraj were out of the country when the incident unfolded. Samay expressed, “I was overwhelmed after watching that video. I couldn’t stop crying. I woke Balraj up, and he was equally stressed, receiving numerous calls. We were both terrified and confused about how to handle the situation.”
A Heartfelt Call from Home
In a poignant moment, Samay received a video call from his mother, which he described as one of the hardest experiences. He admitted, “I hesitated to answer her call because I didn’t want her to see me in tears. She’s such a loving and innocent person, unaware of the chaos around me. When I appeared on KBC, she didn’t even know how to send a broadcast message; she simply told everyone, ‘My son will be on TV tomorrow.’”
