Stand-up comedian Samay Raina and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia made their first joint appearance following the controversy surrounding India's Got Latent. They appeared on Kapil Sharma's Netflix series, The Great Indian Kapil Show. During the episode, Samay also had a chance to meet fellow comedian Sunil Pal. Kapil humorously teased both Samay and Ranveer throughout the show. At one point, Samay recounted receiving a warning call from the actor known for Daadi Ki Shaadi just before the shutdown of India's Got Latent. This conversation took place a day prior to the cancellation of Raina's show.

Kapil Sharma's Warning to Samay Raina

During the episode of TGIKS, Ranveer inquired if Kapil had watched any episodes of India's Got Latent. Kapil confirmed he had seen a few and reminisced about his conversation with Samay, questioning how he managed to avoid any complaints against him. Samay added, "I swear, the day my show was canceled, he called me the day before and warned me that something unfortunate was going to happen."

Kapil then shared that he advised Samay to exercise caution due to his rising fame. He emphasized that while one can gain popularity by saying anything, once they achieve fame, they must be careful with their words. Samay also reflected on the challenging period following the controversy, noting that Kapil was the first to reach out and reassure him that his tough times would soon pass.

Understanding the India's Got Latent Controversy

For those unfamiliar, Samay and Ranveer faced backlash after Ranveer made an inappropriate remark during the show. His controversial question directed at a contestant regarding their parents ignited outrage on social media, resulting in multiple FIRs and legal troubles. Consequently, Samay had to remove all episodes of India's Got Latent from his YouTube channel.
