Delhi High Court Delays Hearing on Salman Khan's Case

The Delhi High Court has once again postponed the hearing concerning Salman Khan's plea against the upcoming film 'Kala Hiran: The Battle For Legacy.' The actor is attempting to halt the film's promotion and release, claiming it mirrors his life and persona without his consent. This legal matter is linked to the infamous 1998 blackbuck poaching case. During the latest court session, it was indicated that more time is needed before proceeding. Meanwhile, producer Amit Jani remarked that the actor is unlikely to receive any relief from the court.

Court Session Highlights and Future Plans

Delhi High Court Postpones Salman Khan's Plea Hearing

On July 1, the Delhi High Court once again delayed the hearing regarding Salman Khan's plea. Justice Jyoti Singh presided over the session and requested the creators of 'Kala Hiran' to clarify their plans for the film's release before moving forward. The filmmakers' attorney informed the court that only a teaser has been released so far. He assured that a detailed response to Salman's petition would be submitted soon and confirmed that the film has not yet been launched. The counsel also provided a written assurance that the film would not be presented to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) before Monday. Notably, Salman did not include the CBFC as a party in his case, even though certification is a prerequisite for any film's theatrical release.

After reviewing both sides, the court has scheduled the next hearing for Monday. This case, previously handled by a vacation bench, has now moved to a regular roster bench for further proceedings.

Producer Amit Jani Responds to Salman Khan's Claims

Producer Amit Jani States No Relief for Salman Khan

Producer Amit Jani contested Salman Khan's petition ahead of the Wednesday hearing. He claimed he had insufficient time to prepare, as the court documents were provided only two days before the previous hearing. Jani also revealed that he received a threatening call from someone named Shahzad Bhatti, allegedly from Pakistan, who pressured him to settle with Salman and threatened his family if he refused.

Amit stressed that courtroom outcomes are not swayed by celebrity status, citing past cases involving other public figures to demonstrate that fame does not guarantee a favorable verdict. He dismissed allegations that he is capitalizing on Salman's name for profit, asserting that his film genuinely highlights the Bishnoi community's long-standing efforts to protect blackbucks and their wildlife heritage.
