Reports indicate that Salman Khan is set to earn between Rs 120 to Rs 150 crores for his role as host this season. Given that the show will run for 15 weeks, this amounts to approximately Rs 8 to 10 crores each weekend.

This figure marks a significant decrease compared to his earnings from previous seasons, where he reportedly received Rs 250 crores for Bigg Boss 18, Rs 200 crores for Bigg Boss 17, and Rs 96 crores for Bigg Boss OTT 2.

Reasons Behind the Pay Reduction

Sources suggest that Salman will only host 'Bigg Boss 19' for a duration of three months, with other celebrities such as Karan Johar, Farah Khan, and Anil Kapoor expected to take over later. Additionally, a few politicians are anticipated to participate in a special segment during the premiere.

The change in hosting duties is attributed to Salman’s commitment to filming his upcoming project, 'Battle of Galwan,' which coincides with the latter part of the Bigg Boss season.

'Bigg Boss 19' is set to premiere on August 24 on Colors TV at 10:30 PM and will also be available on JioHotstar at 9 PM.

This season's theme is 'gharwaalon ki sarkaar,' introducing a democratic element within the house. However, the specifics of how this theme will be implemented remain undisclosed. An assembly room has been constructed within the house to facilitate this theme.
