Since its launch in 2010, Bollywood icon Salman Khan has become synonymous with the reality series Bigg Boss. His role as the host has captivated audiences, especially during the Weekend Ka Vaar episodes, where he offers contestants crucial insights. Despite a hectic film schedule, Khan has always prioritized the show, reinforcing his position as an irreplaceable figure.

Initially, when Salman took on the hosting role, he earned 2.5 crores per episode, filming two episodes daily to accumulate 5 crores. This rate remained stable for the first three seasons. However, as his popularity surged, he successfully negotiated a substantial pay increase. By season 19, his earnings reportedly reached around 300 crores for the entire season, even with occasional absences due to professional obligations and security issues.

This pay hike represents an astonishing 328% increase from season 4 to season 19. Following a recent security incident involving gunfire at his residence in Mumbai, Khan has been following stricter security measures. As anticipation builds for the next season, there are indications that he may demand an even higher fee for his hosting role.

In an exciting development, JioStar has revealed that all versions of Bigg Boss in India will be broadcast simultaneously for the first time. This includes the Hindi edition as well as regional versions in Marathi, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, and Bengali. Noteworthy hosts for these adaptations include Vijay Sethupathi for Tamil, Nagarjuna Akkineni for Telugu, Kichcha Sudeepa for Kannada, Riteish Deshmukh for Marathi, and Mohanlal for Malayalam. Additionally, former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly will debut as the host of the Bangla edition, marking a significant change as he is the first non-film personality to take on this role.

Salman Khan is expected to commence filming for the upcoming season of Bigg Boss in late September.
