Salman Khan Reveals Surprising Inspiration Behind 'Tere Naam' Look on The Great Indian Kapil Show
Salman Khan's Nostalgic Revelation
Mumbai, June 21: The third season of Netflix's "The Great Indian Kapil Show" is generating significant excitement. Salman Khan, the first guest of this season, is already making headlines ahead of the episode's airing.
In a light-hearted conversation with Kapil, Salman disclosed the true inspiration behind his memorable look from the film 'Tere Naam', which had a profound impact on young men at the time.
He mentioned that his hairstyle was influenced by the late Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam, the former President of India.
Salman stated, “The look from 'Tere Naam' was actually inspired by Abdul Kalam sir, and during that time, Rahul Roy also sported a similar hairstyle. I believed that small-town heroes typically had long hair. The heroes from earlier times all had long locks, and that’s where this idea originated.”
Additionally, Salman shared insights about Aamir Khan's new relationship with Gauri Spratt during the episode.
A preview clip of the show featured Kapil humorously commenting to Salman, “Aamir Bhai just introduced his fans to his girlfriend. He’s not holding back, but you haven’t even begun!”
Salman responded with a chuckle, saying, “Aamir is truly unique. He’s a perfectionist—he won’t settle until he has perfected the concept of marriage!”
"The Great Indian Kapil Show" season 3 is set to debut on the streaming platform on Saturday, June 21st, with new episodes airing every Saturday at 8 PM.
