In an interview with Variety India, Salman shared that the first lavish gift he bought was a watch for his father. He reminisced about not having enough money for the watch he wanted to buy for his dad, which was priced at Rs 9 lakh. At that time, he had only four lakh, so he borrowed the remaining amount.

Upon receiving the watch, Salim Khan remarked, "You haven't even started working properly, and you are already indulging in such things. Do you see yourself as a king?" Although initially hesitant about the gift, he later referred to it as a piece of jewelry. Salman also mentioned that he refrained from wearing watches for nearly three decades, and even now, if he does wear one, it usually belongs to a friend. He dismissed rumors of owning a vast collection of watches, stating he possesses just one.

On the professional front, Salman was last seen in AR Murugadoss' Sikandar, which featured Rashmika Mandanna but did not perform well at the box office. His next project is Apoorva Lakhia's Maatrubhumi, alongside Chitrangada Singh. Although initially scheduled for an April release, the film's launch has been delayed, and a new date has yet to be announced. Previously, it was titled Battle of Galwan.

Additionally, Salman is set to star in SVC63 with Nayanthara, directed by Vamshi Paidipally.
