Saiyaara presents a unique narrative within the realm of medical romance, where love is depicted as a journey filled with challenges and emotional depth.

The protagonist, who is grappling with Alzheimer’s, expresses a desire for her boyfriend to shine like a star, highlighting the complexities of their relationship. Her partner, who harbors rock star aspirations, exhibits a sense of arrogance that is both charming and frustrating.

Ahaan Pandey, in his debut role, portrays Krish, a character reminiscent of Aditya Roy Kapoor's troubled singer in Aashiqui 2. Krish's character is layered with familial conflicts, particularly with his father, played briefly by Varun Bandola, adding depth to his journey.

The screenplay, crafted by Sankalp Sandesh and Rohan Shankar, smoothly integrates the romance, showcasing the couple's genuine affection, which stands out as the film's strongest aspect.

Krish's dedication to ensuring Vaani's comfort, even at the cost of his own dreams, is a poignant element, although his sudden shift towards self-destruction raises questions about character development.

Despite the film's focus on music, the soundtrack fails to leave a lasting impression, lacking the memorable quality of its predecessors. With eight composers involved, none of the songs resonate like those from Aashiqui 2.

What lingers are the intimate moments shared between Krish and Vaani, such as his protective gestures and the tender interactions with her family, which add emotional weight to the narrative.

However, the plot raises concerns, particularly regarding the decisions made by Vaani's parents and the introduction of her ex-boyfriend, which complicates the storyline unnecessarily.

Mohit Suri's films often delve into intense emotional landscapes, and Saiyaara is no exception. While it may not achieve greatness in the romantic genre, it offers moments of connection and chemistry between the leads, despite some narrative shortcomings.
