Sai Pallavi at the Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp Event

During the Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp event held in New Delhi on July 18, actress Sai Pallavi expressed her thoughts on portraying the iconic character of Sita in the highly anticipated film directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Sai, who stars alongside Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, conveyed her heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to take on such a significant role. She revealed that she dedicated three years to this monumental mythological project, which is currently one of the most eagerly awaited films in Indian cinema. Fans recently caught a glimpse of her in the teaser trailer for Ramayana, which was released a few weeks ago, and her reflections on the experience have only heightened their excitement.

Sai Pallavi's Experience at the Event

At the Ramayana: Pratham Sankalp event, Sai Pallavi shared the stage with Ranbir Kapoor, and the gathering, which included director Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra, noted that it was a rare occasion where both Rama and Sita were present together in real life. When asked about her experience, Sai expressed her joy, stating that playing such a divine character felt like destiny. She emphasized the rarity of such roles, explaining, "It's not easy for actors to get roles like this because it is not easy to play a goddess. There has to be a team that's putting their heart and soul into making it the best version of what they can present to the world because it becomes history for the rest of the world to think and go back to in the future. So thank you for casting me for such a project."

Insights on Portraying Sita

Sai further elaborated on her approach to embodying Sita, stating that she aimed to maintain purity in her thoughts throughout the filming process. "When it comes to playing Sita Ma, I don't think I chose the role. I think I was blessed to play this role because it's not something that you can go after, and it is not something that you can write down on a piece of paper and say, 'this is how I'm going to play.' I would just sit and meditate and say Sita Ma, you act through me. Whatever comes through me is what you want for the film," she shared. She also mentioned her efforts to keep her thoughts neutral to present the best version of herself. "Today is a very important day for all of us because I worked on the film for maybe three years, but they've all been on the project for more than ten years now. It is a very important project for all of us. I'm excited and humbled."
