Rupali Ganguly, renowned for her role in the popular television series Anupama, has publicly criticized Adani, the electricity provider, due to prolonged power outages at her residence in Mumbai. The actress expressed her discontent after facing a blackout that began the previous night, coinciding with the rising temperatures in the city.

In a recent post on X, Rupali tagged the company, expressing her annoyance at the automated responses from their chatbots, which continuously assured customers about the restoration of power.

On Sunday morning, May 31, at 5:29 am, Rupali shared her experience of the power outage affecting her building and two others. She noted that the electricity had been absent since the previous night, with intermittent flickering lights. In her message, she stated, “Your ineffective chatbots have been claiming the issue would be fixed in 34 minutes for the last four hours, and now they say there’s no outage at all! This is Mumbai @AdaniOnline.”

Rupali also raised concerns about the quality of service in India’s financial hub, questioning how residents in smaller towns and rural areas must be coping with similar issues.

Her comments have sparked widespread discussion on social media, with many users sharing their own experiences. Notably, Anushka Ranjan, who recently announced her pregnancy, also expressed her frustration regarding power outages in her locality, tagging both Adani and Tata Power for their inadequate service.

As of now, Rupali has not provided any updates regarding the ongoing situation, which is affecting many residents of Mumbai during this intense heatwave. This is not the first time celebrities have reacted to power outages in the city; in 2020, several stars, including Amitabh Bachchan and Divyanka Tripathi, took to social media to voice their dissatisfaction during a significant blackout.
