New Delhi: The film Raja Shivaji, starring Riteish Deshmukh, has achieved a remarkable feat by earning Rs 12.40 crore nett on its opening day, marking the highest debut for a Marathi film at the domestic box office.


Directed by Deshmukh, this film was released in theaters on Friday in both Marathi and Hindi, showcasing his portrayal of the legendary Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.


The production team announced the impressive box office figures via a post on their official Instagram account on Saturday, which included the film's promotional poster.
