Rishabh Pant Sparks Controversy with Instagram Likes

Rishabh Pant's Instagram Activity Raises Eyebrows
The Indian wicketkeeper-batter has recently gained attention after interacting with several posts from an Instagram account called Mia Zelu. Pant has liked at least three of her posts, leading to speculation about whether he will offer an explanation similar to Virat Kohli's after he liked a photo of a Punjabi actress.
Who is Mia Zelu?
Mia Zelu is an AI-driven Instagram account based in Germany, where the owner describes herself as an "AI Influencer and storyteller" focused on fashion. The account features numerous images of her attending various events, including concerts, parties, and even a Wimbledon match. Notably, Olympic field hockey player James Gall is among her followers.
Rishabh Pant's Reaction
Interestingly, Rishabh does not follow this account and has since removed his likes from the posts. Fans in India have been actively commenting on some of the posts, mentioning Pant, rather than expressing surprise at his engagement with the account.
Rishabh Pant's Current Status
At present, Rishabh Pant is in England participating in a five-match Test series. Recently appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian team, he scored two centuries in the first Test at Leeds. However, a lackluster fielding performance from the team resulted in a 5-wicket loss.
Despite a strong start to the tour, Pant struggled in the second Test at Edgbaston, managing only 25 runs before being dismissed by English spinner Shoaib Bashir. He attempted a big shot over long-on but was caught by Zak Crawley.
After the first day's play, India found themselves at 310 runs with five wickets down, largely thanks to captain Shubman Gill's century, along with contributions from Yashasvi Jaiswal and Ravindra Jadeja.
