Partho Ghosh, a prominent figure in Indian cinema, has died at the age of 75 due to heart complications. Known for his remarkable films such as '100 Days' and 'Agni Sakshi,' Ghosh's contributions to the film industry have left a lasting impact. Fellow filmmaker Rituparna Ghosh expressed her deep sorrow over his passing, highlighting his exceptional talent and kind spirit. Ghosh's career began as an assistant director, and he went on to direct over 15 films, with his last work being 'Mausam Ikrar Ke Do Pal Pyar Ke' in 2018. He is survived by his wife, Gouri.

Tribute to a Cinematic Legend

Partho Ghosh, a distinguished filmmaker, passed away on Monday morning at the age of 75 due to complications related to his heart. He was celebrated for his impactful films, including '100 Days,' 'Teesra Kaun,' and 'Agni Sakshi.'


Rituparna Ghosh, a fellow filmmaker, confirmed his passing and shared her sorrow, stating, “I am heartbroken beyond words. We have lost an extraordinary talent, a visionary director, and a compassionate individual. Partho da, your cinematic magic will forever be cherished. Rest in peace.”


Ghosh began his career as an assistant director and gained prominence in 1991 with '100 Days.' His 1993 film 'Dalaal' also achieved significant success. Over his career, he wrote and directed more than 15 films.


His final directorial work was 'Mausam Ikrar Ke Do Pal Pyar Ke,' released in 2018. He is survived by his wife, Gouri.
