Raveena Tandon Celebrates Student Voices
Following the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Bollywood stars including Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra expressed their support for the students' triumph. Actress Raveena Tandon also took to social media to share her thoughts, expressing pride in the students for having their voices acknowledged. She noted that the protests had instilled hope in her, although she criticized the involvement of certain groups in some regions, claiming that the student movement was being exploited by political entities and individuals seeking attention.

The actress, known for her role in Welcome to the Jungle, stated, "I am happy and proud that voices are finally being heard, #studentsprotest #Rishikeshprotest, and there is hope. Until now, protests concerning environmental issues and wildlife conservation were often ignored. People are awakening, and future generations must understand that we only have one planet to protect. There is no alternative. This is our responsibility to safeguard for their future." Raveena commended the peaceful demonstrations in Mizoram and other areas, highlighting them as exemplary. However, she lamented that in some locations, the peaceful protests were disrupted by unruly elements and opportunists focused on gaining social media fame.
She remarked, "The violence and destruction of public property were clearly the work of non-students who could have undermined this protest." Nevertheless, she expressed optimism that the protests would lead to meaningful reforms in the education sector, combat corruption, and enhance accessibility to education for all. She concluded with the phrase, "Jab padhega India, Badhega India."

She later shared a report indicating that 11 individuals were arrested in connection with the violence during the Kolkata student protests, none of whom were reportedly students. Earlier, she had reacted to Pradhan's resignation by stating, "The power of youth and revolution." Many other Bollywood figures, including Varun Dhawan, Tara Sutaria, and Vicky Kaushal, also celebrated this development, with several having previously voiced their support for students protesting the NEET-UG paper leak and calling for government accountability.
