Ranveer Singh's Temple Visit Amid Don 3 Controversy Sparks Speculation
Ranveer Singh's Recent Temple Visit
Ranveer Singh, the star of Dhurandhar, has become the center of attention due to rumors surrounding his departure from the highly anticipated film Don 3 directed by Farhan Akhtar. As discussions swirl online, the actor was recently seen at Mumbai airport dressed in traditional attire, sparking curiosity about his destination. It has been revealed that he was on his way to the revered Chamundeshwari Temple in Mysuru. This visit has ignited conversations about its potential ties to the Kantara universe.
Images circulating on social media show Ranveer in a Pathani kurta and Nehru jacket, engaged in prayer at the Chamundeshwari Temple, a significant spiritual site in Karnataka. Nestled atop the Chamundi Hills, this temple draws thousands of devotees annually and is steeped in cultural and religious significance.
This visit was not merely coincidental; it holds significance due to its connection with the cultural themes associated with the Kantara franchise. Reports indicate that the actor's trip followed a directive from the Karnataka High Court, which came after he issued an unconditional apology related to the Kantara mimicry incident. The court had previously noted that the case was nearing resolution and instructed him to pray at the temple within a four-week timeframe.
According to ETimes, MJ Roopa, the secretary of the Sri Chamundeshwari Kshetra Development Authority, confirmed that Ranveer arrived at the temple around 7:30 AM. Sources mentioned that he approached the temple as an ordinary devotee, spending approximately ten minutes inside for prayers. The temple staff later recognized him and greeted him with a garland.
Ranveer's temple visit coincides with ongoing reports regarding his involvement with Don 3. Recently, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) announced that its members, totaling over four lakh, would not work with him following his alleged last-minute exit from the film. This decision came after complaints from the film's producers, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, which were escalated to the Indian Film & Television Directors' Association (IFTDA) for further action.
Despite the swirling rumors, Ranveer has chosen to remain silent publicly. A spokesperson for the actor recently issued a statement emphasizing that he maintains deep respect and goodwill for all those associated with the franchise, expressing his sincere wishes for the team's success while opting for grace and restraint in addressing the situation.
