Resolution in the Don 3 Controversy

Ranveer Singh has received a reprieve in the ongoing Don 3 controversy, as the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has rescinded its non-cooperation directive against him. The actor faced backlash after stepping away from the project helmed by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani. On June 3, FWICE held a press conference to announce their decision. In a recent interview, the president of the organization clarified that their intention was never to harm Ranveer, but he believes the actor's team may have misled him regarding the situation.

Insights from FWICE President on the Controversy

In a conversation with a media outlet, FWICE President BN Tiwari expressed, "We initially thought that issuing the non-cooperation directive would prompt them to engage in dialogue with us. However, I feel his team misinformed him." He noted that the communication from Ranveer's team claimed that the actor was not under the jurisdiction of the film body. Tiwari emphasized that as a member of CINTAA, which is associated with FWICE, action was necessary.

Tiwari further clarified that the organization had no intention of undermining a 'superstar' like Ranveer. He acknowledged that FWICE's actions were not meant to hinder the actor's progress, referring to him as a 'superstar.' The president reiterated that the organization operates primarily for the benefit of its workers and technicians.

BN Tiwari's Support for Ranveer Singh

Addressing the legal notice issued by Ranveer against FWICE, Tiwari stated that they are prepared to handle the matter through legal channels. He expressed optimism that the situation is moving towards a resolution, prompting the organization to step back and trust the producers and industry representatives.

Concluding his remarks on the Don 3 issue, Tiwari mentioned that the conflict could have been avoided had there been a discussion with Ranveer. He expressed no personal grievances against the actor and conveyed his desire for Ranveer's success and the overall prosperity of the industry. "At this point, I am not seeking anything for myself. My only wish is for the industry to thrive," he stated, expressing his 'good faith' in Ranveer.

On the professional front, Ranveer was last seen in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which was released in theaters on March 19 this year, produced by JioStudios and Aditya Dhar Films.
