Ranveer Singh Faces Controversy Amid Don 3 Dispute
Ranveer Singh's Recent Controversy
Is Ranveer Singh facing a ban from Bollywood? The recent controversy surrounding Don 3 has led the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) to issue a directive of non-cooperation against the actor, sparking widespread speculation. This situation has ignited discussions both in Bollywood circles and on social media platforms. However, Ashoke Pandit, the chief advisor of FWICE, clarified that there is no official boycott against Singh. Amidst the ongoing debate, director Kunal Kohli has come forward to commend the actor, emphasizing that all actors, regardless of their fame, can experience failures and should not be solely evaluated based on their box office performance.
Kunal Kohli's Support for Ranveer Singh
In a conversation with a Media Channel, Kohli highlighted Ranveer's impressive comeback with the Aditya Dhar-directed spy action film, following a series of unsuccessful projects. He remarked that every actor inevitably encounters setbacks, and these do not diminish their talent or career trajectory. Kohli pointed out that this reality applies to actors, producers, and directors alike. He expressed confidence that Ranveer will continue to produce both successful and unsuccessful films, which is a normal aspect of an actor's career. He encouraged audiences to recognize quality in films and to accept failures as learning experiences.
Kohli praised Singh as a remarkable actor, noting his exceptional performances in films like Dhurandhar, as well as in others that did not achieve commercial success. He concluded that evaluating an actor solely based on box office results reflects a narrow perspective on cinema.
While Kohli did not comment on the specifics of the Don 3 situation, he expressed his admiration for Singh's talent.
Details on the Don 3 Controversy
The controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh intensified after his withdrawal from Don 3 in December 2025. Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment has claimed damages amounting to Rs 45 crore, further complicating the matter. In response, FWICE intervened to mediate the situation and subsequently issued a non-cooperation order against Singh, advising its members to refrain from collaborating with him. In light of these developments, a spokesperson for Singh stated that he holds the film industry and the Don franchise in high regard. They added that he has opted not to publicly address the recent events, choosing instead to manage both his professional and personal affairs with dignity and respect.
