Ranveer Singh's Ban Amid Don 3 Dispute

The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has imposed a ban on Ranveer Singh following his fallout with the producers of Don 3. After the success of his film Dhurandhar in 2025, Singh decided to withdraw from Don 3, leaving the project in limbo. The FWICE announced that Singh is required to compensate for the losses incurred by the production house, Excel Entertainment, which had already invested in the film's pre-production.

Ashoke Pandit, the chief advisor of FWICE, revealed that Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani had lodged a complaint regarding Singh's sudden exit. They stated that they had spent Rs 45 crores on pre-production, and just three weeks before the scheduled shoot, Singh backed out.

In an effort to resolve the issue, a meeting was held with the film body, where Singh was invited to share his perspective. However, he failed to respond to multiple invitations. After a month, he sent a letter to the FWICE claiming the matter was outside their jurisdiction. Pandit stated that due to Singh's stance, the FWICE decided to take a non-cooperation approach.

Response from Ranveer Singh's Team

In light of the ban, Singh's team released a statement emphasizing his respect for the film industry and the Don franchise. They noted that he chose to remain silent during the ongoing discussions, believing that such matters should be handled with dignity and respect. The spokesperson defended Singh's decision not to publicly address the situation, stating that his focus remains on his work and future projects.

Singh's team concluded by expressing his goodwill towards all involved and wishing for the franchise's success. The ban will remain in effect until he compensates Excel Entertainment with the demanded Rs 45 crore.
