Ram Kapoor's Emotional Revelation

Ram Kapoor has been making headlines following his appearance on the Netflix reality series, Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa, which is produced by Ekta Kapoor and co-hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh. During the recent episode, known as Judgement Day, Ram revealed a deeply personal secret that he had kept hidden for years. He disclosed that he was molested as a teenager while attending boarding school, a fact known only to his wife, Gautami Kapoor. He reflected on how this traumatic experience shaped his perspective and fostered his acceptance of the LGBTQ community.

Ram Kapoor Reflects on His Boarding School Experience

In the latest episode of Lock Upp 2, Ram shared that the incident occurred when he was approximately 13 years old. He recounted spending time with friends in their dorms, where a senior student in the 10th grade touched him inappropriately while they were on his bed. 'I froze, as there were about 30-40 other children around. I felt paralyzed and unsure of how to respond. Eventually, I told him, 'I do not like it,' and he stopped,' Ram explained. He admitted that the experience left him feeling traumatized and silent.

Ram later revealed that the boy who had assaulted him came back weeks later to apologize. 'He made a genuine effort to express his remorse, and oddly enough, the person who caused my trauma helped me heal, and we eventually became friends,' he noted.

Ram Kapoor's Perspective on the LGBTQ Community

Ram emphasized that only Gautami is aware of this incident, stating, 'Neither my parents nor my children know about it. I can still feel the trauma as I discuss it, but I am grateful that this experience happened to me.' He expressed that he holds no fear towards the LGBTQ community, attributing this to his past. 'When I meet individuals from the community, like Sufi, I feel a strong connection. I have no reservations or negative feelings towards them. The boy who hurt me was simply curious and hormonal; we were just teenagers. After the incident, he made significant efforts to help me heal, and he succeeded. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone, so please don't misunderstand me,' Ram shared. His heartfelt confession moved fellow contestants Sufi Motivala and Harshad Chopda, while Farah and Riteish praised his bravery for sharing such a personal story publicly.
