Exciting Developments for Peddi's Release

Ram Charan's highly anticipated film, Peddi, has received a significant boost ahead of its debut, as the Andhra Pradesh government has officially approved premiere shows starting June 3. This decision has generated considerable excitement among fans, especially with the announcement of a ticket price increase for the film. While Andhra Pradesh has granted all necessary permissions, the status in Telangana remains uncertain.

Increased Ticket Prices for Peddi

The premiere screenings are set to kick off at 8 PM on June 3. As part of the government's approval, tickets for the premiere shows in Andhra Pradesh will be priced at Rs 600, inclusive of GST. Additionally, a temporary ticket price increase has been sanctioned, with single-screen theatres charging an extra Rs 100 and multiplexes an additional Rs 125. These new rates will be applicable for a week following the film's release. Furthermore, the state has authorized five screenings per day, ensuring that audiences have ample opportunities to watch the film during its opening week.

While Andhra Pradesh has completed all necessary formalities, there is still no official word on premiere show permissions in Telangana. Fans in that state are eagerly awaiting an announcement, with hopes that a decision will be made soon.

Smooth Release Ahead for Peddi

The release of Peddi faced challenges in recent weeks due to ongoing disputes within the Telugu film industry regarding theatre rental and revenue-sharing models. The Telangana Exhibitors Association advocated for a percentage-based revenue system. After discussions involving various stakeholders, industry representatives met with Chiranjeevi to address the concerns. It was confirmed that the percentage-sharing model would be implemented starting July 3, facilitating smoother operations moving forward.

With these developments, all major obstacles to Peddi's release have been resolved, and the film is set to debut under the current rental system. In addition to Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor in leading roles, Peddi boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Jagapathi Babu, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyenndu Sharma, Boman Irani, and Tinnu Anand. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, the film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, with music composed by AR Rahman. The promotional campaign for Peddi has been extensive, covering cities like Mumbai, Bhopal, and Bengaluru.
