Exciting Collaboration in Indian Cinema

New Delhi: Actor Ram Charan is set to join forces with director Sukumar for their upcoming pan-India project titled 'RC17'.

This film marks a reunion for the duo, following their successful collaboration on the 2018 hit 'Rangasthalam', which was both a critical and commercial success.

According to a press release, the pooja ceremony for 'RC17' is scheduled for Sunday at the film's shooting location.

The production company, Mythri Movie Makers, announced the project via an Instagram post on Saturday, showcasing the film's poster with the caption, "Megastar Ram Charan Master storyteller Sukumar #RX17."

The post concluded with the phrase, "And we begin."

'Rangasthalam' featured Samantha Ruth Prabhu alongside Charan and told the story of a village under the oppressive rule of a corrupt president, Phanindra Bhupathi (played by Jagapathi Babu), who maintained control through fear, debt, and land grabs for three decades.

The plot thickens when Charan's brother, who attempts to rescue the village, is brutally murdered, prompting Charan's character to seek vengeance for his elder brother, Kumar Babu.

The film 'Rangasthalam' grossed over Rs 210 crore worldwide.

Recently, Charan appeared in 'Peddi', portraying a laborer from rural Andhra Pradesh in the 1980s who overcomes a significant injury to pursue a career as a track athlete.
