Rakesh Bedi Sets the Record Straight: No ₹1 Crore Bonus from Dhurandhar!
Actor Rakesh Bedi Denies Bonus Rumors
Mumbai: Rakesh Bedi, known for his role as Jameel Jamali in the hit film Dhurandhar, has dismissed claims that he received a ₹1 crore bonus for his performance in the movie.
On Friday, the actor shared a video on Instagram where he addressed the rumors directly. He clarified that he has not received any such bonus and advised his followers to be cautious about believing everything they read in the media.
In his video, he stated, “Hello everyone, welcome to Hi Chai with Rakesh Bedi. Recently, a video has been circulating online, and many people have been sending it to me. Some friends and media folks are claiming that I received ₹1 crore from the production team after Dhurandhar. So, where is it?”

He humorously added, “Whose house is it in? Whose pocket is it in? Tell me, where has it been hidden? Because it hasn’t appeared in my account. If it does, I’ll let you know. But for now, it’s not here. If you can find it, please do!”
The media report that sparked the controversy claimed that the producers of Dhurandhar were so impressed with Bedi's portrayal of a Pakistani politician and double agent that they awarded him a bonus exceeding ₹1 crore.
In the film, Bedi's character, Jameel Jamali, is a RAW agent who infiltrates Pakistan's political landscape to undermine it from within. Meanwhile, Dhurandhar: The Revenge has reportedly earned ₹1800 crore globally, marking it as one of the most successful films in Hindi cinema.
