Discussing the slow progress of the film starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi, Hirani shared with Zoom, "Creating a film, whether it's a sequel or not, naturally requires time. I invest significant effort into the scripts because if it doesn't turn out well, you can't enjoy the filming process. A successful film is a different matter, but the goal is to create something truly good. With Munna Bhai 2, which was so well-received, it’s essential not to produce something of lesser quality." He reassured fans that the project is indeed in the works!

Hirani also mentioned, "We have even explored the idea of merging characters from these films." Arshad humorously remarked, "You must be quite desperate now." Hirani chuckled and added, "We’ve attempted to blend Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, and PK. But it seemed like it would become even more complicated." Arshad joked, "It could turn into an Avengers situation!" Hirani elaborated on his creative process, stating, "Every morning, I wake up and try to write something. Ideas flow, and I work on them for a bit before deciding to move on."

Just picture Aamir Khan's alien character PK meeting Ranchoddas Chanchad from 3 Idiots, alongside Sanjay Dutt's beloved Munna Bhai. Adding fan-favorites like Circuit, Farhan, and Raju would create one of Bollywood's most memorable crossovers. However, for now, this grand crossover remains a concept. Currently, Hirani is preparing for the release of Pritam And Pedro.
