Potential Ban on 'Dhurandhar 2' in Tamil Nadu
Just hours before Rajinikanth's glowing review, news broke that a petition had been submitted to the Madras High Court requesting a ban on Dhurandhar 2 ahead of the upcoming elections in Tamil Nadu. The petition claims that the film might breach the Model Code of Conduct currently enforced for the elections. Advocate Sheela, who filed the plea, emphasized its urgency due to the proximity of the elections, arguing that the film's content could influence voters by presenting biased perspectives.
The Chief Justice of the Madras High Court, Sushrut Arvind Dharmadhikari, along with Justice G Arul Murugan, has indicated that the case will be heard after the petition filing process is complete, with a new hearing date yet to be set.
Language Availability of 'Dhurandhar 2'
Dhurandhar 2 has been released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. While the Hindi version premiered on March 19 as scheduled, the regional dubs faced slight delays due to censorship issues. Audiences in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Andhra Pradesh were able to view the film in their respective languages starting Saturday.
