Radhika Apte Reflects on Challenging Role in Telugu Film
Radhika Apte Discusses Difficult Telugu Film Experience
Bollywood actress Radhika Apte recently opened up about a challenging experience she faced while working on a Telugu film. She revealed that portraying a romantic role alongside a significantly older actor was particularly tough for her. Radhika described this experience as one of the most demanding roles in her career.
'Dislike for Everything'
During a promotional interview for her web series 'Akka' with actress Keerthy Suresh, Radhika was asked about the most difficult character she has played. She referred to a Telugu film where her character was required to marry her 'mama' (uncle). She expressed that she disliked every aspect related to that role.
Radhika further elaborated that she had to engage in romantic scenes with an older actor. According to her, the film's environment was male-dominated, making the experience uncomfortable. She also mentioned that her character dies midway through the story, yet the action sequences continue.
Which Film Was She Referring To?
Although Radhika did not specify the film's name during the interview, media reports suggest it is likely the 2014 Telugu film 'Legend,' based on the clues she provided about her character. In this film, she starred alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna, who was 54 at the time of release, while Radhika was 29.
Following Radhika's comments, discussions erupted on social media. Some users agreed with her past experiences, while others questioned why she accepted the role if she had issues with the storyline and age difference.
