R. Madhavan's Stand Against Misuse of His Image

R. Madhavan, known for his composed demeanor, recently expressed his outrage over a wellness and health brand that allegedly misappropriated his video and image without consent to promote its offerings. The actor took to Instagram to highlight this issue, accusing the brand of misleading the public by implying that he was endorsing their services. He also mentioned that legal proceedings had already commenced against the company.

Legal Action Against the Wellness Brand

The controversy erupted when a reel featuring Madhavan began circulating on social media. This video reportedly included segments from one of his past interviews where he discussed his fitness regimen and lifestyle. However, Madhavan claims that the footage was manipulated to falsely suggest his endorsement of the brand's weight loss and health programs. He shared a screenshot of the reel on his social media, voicing his discontent over the alleged exploitation of his content.

In his post, Madhavan criticized the organization, questioning how they could believe it was acceptable to use celebrity footage for commercial purposes without permission. He expressed his disappointment, stating, "What a shame. How do these people and organizations think they can get away with this?" He emphasized that no one should take snippets from someone’s interview and use them as part of an endorsement. "Legal notice sent. Please BEWARE of these kinds of professionals and organizations," he added.

The screenshot shared by Madhavan included a message clarifying that he had no affiliation with the brand or its offerings. The text stated, “This reel is making it sound like I'm endorsing their product. They have just taken a clip from an interview without any permission and used it as an endorsement from my end.” The wellness company allegedly utilized the clip to promote its weight loss services, which included biomarker testing and tailored health programs.

Madhavan's Ongoing Battle for Personality Rights

This incident is not the first time R. Madhavan has pursued legal action regarding the unauthorized use of his image and identity. In December 2025, the Delhi High Court upheld the actor’s personality rights, prohibiting websites and online platforms from unlawfully using his name, images, or likeness for commercial purposes without his consent.

The court also mandated the removal of inappropriate and misleading content posted online in Madhavan’s name. This ruling followed similar actions taken by other celebrities, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, Pawan Kalyan, and Chiranjeevi, who sought legal protection against the unauthorized use of their identities online.
