Support for Diljit Dosanjh

On Tuesday, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed his support for singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh, who has faced criticism for collaborating with Pakistani actress Hania Amir in his latest film, 'Sardar Ji 3'.

Mann emphasized that the film was completed prior to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 individuals. He addressed the issue during an event, stating, 'Diljit Dosanjh's film features a Pakistani actress, and it was shot before the Pahalgam terrorist incident.'

He further explained, 'The Pakistani actress participated because our cultures are similar. They speak Punjabi, just as we do.' Mann also pointed out the hypocrisy in labeling Diljit as a 'traitor', questioning whether the same critics would react positively if a Pakistani sports team visited Punjab.

The Chief Minister remarked that those who claim to be nationalists are targeting Punjabis out of jealousy towards the state and its people.
