Star of Citadel, Priyanka Chopra, was celebrated among numerous Asian talents at the Gold House's annual gala in Hollywood. This fifth edition featured a mix of iconic figures like Jet Li and emerging stars such as Supriya Ganesh from The Pitt. Priyanka was awarded the Global Vanguard Honour for her significant impact on Asian Pacific culture. Other distinguished recipients included Charles Melton, Eileen Gu, Jet Li, Simu Liu, and Revathi Advaithi, who were also recognized at the event. Emotional Tribute to Mother Madhu at Gold Gala 2026
In honor of Mother's Day, Priyanka paid a touching tribute to her mother Madhu during the Gold Gala 2026. The awards ceremony, held at the Music Center in downtown Los Angeles on May 9, was filled with emotional moments as honorees expressed their appreciation for their families. Following Revathi Advaithi's lead, Priyanka highlighted the importance of education and skill development, values instilled in her by the women in her family, including her grandmother.
Praising her mother’s beauty, Priyanka remarked, "Thank you for being the foundation of who I am and for always being a student of life," which resonated emotionally with the audience. Her stunning white gown was creatively repurposed from a 20-year-old Chikankari saree. The gala was a star-studded affair, featuring notable Asian Pacific figures such as Esther Yu, Bowen Yang from Wicked, Arden Cho and EJAE from KPop Demon Hunters, Mindy Kaling, and others. Jet Li received a standing ovation while accepting his Gold Legend award.
Upcoming Projects for Priyanka Chopra
Priyanka's latest venture, the second season of Citadel, premiered on May 6. This spy thriller, featuring Richard Madden and Stanley Tucci, will conclude with this season. Additionally, she is set to return to Indian cinema in SS Rajamouli's Telugu film Varanasi, alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran, scheduled for release in January 2027.
Recently, it was revealed that Priyanka will star with Orlando Bloom in Matt Smukler's survival thriller Reset, which is set to begin filming later this year. Furthermore, she has filmed a cameo in Mira Nair's biopic on Amrita Sher-Gil, titled Amri, featuring Tanya Maniktala in the lead role.
