In a recent interview, Priyadarshan shared his views on the upcoming sequel, stating, "I avoid making sequels because they should surpass the original. For instance, the second *Terminator* film was superior to the first. A sequel should only be made if there is a significantly better story. Often, sequels are produced merely because the first film was successful, but if the sequel doesn't improve upon the original, it diminishes the franchise's value."

Priyadarshan elaborated, saying, "Sequels often aim to capitalize on the success of the original film. They are not creating a film but rather a 'project,' which does not interest me. When *Bhagam Bhag* was made, Akshay Kumar approached me about directing a sequel, but I declined. If a film is well-received, why risk tarnishing that appreciation with a second installment? That’s why I choose not to direct sequels, although I have no issue with others doing so."

He also addressed the third part of *Hera Pheri*, a film he directed, mentioning, "There are numerous challenges associated with that project—so many hurdles. I would need to write extensively to explain the situation; I doubt it will ever come to fruition."
