Their separation was tumultuous, with Lissy describing the divorce proceedings as challenging and indicative of their troubled marriage. She expressed relief once it was concluded. Priyadarshan later acknowledged his role in the breakdown, attributing it to ego and unrealistic expectations stemming from his conservative upbringing. Despite their past, they have maintained a cordial relationship, coming together for significant family events, including their son Siddharth's private wedding in 2023.
