Highlights include new seasons of popular series and exciting theatrical releases transitioning to the platform. Notable titles feature a mix of genres, from horror-comedy to romance and thrillers, showcasing the diverse storytelling landscape of Indian cinema. This announcement reflects Prime Video's commitment to delivering engaging content to its audience, ensuring that viewers have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.

Prime Video's New Offerings

Despite ongoing discussions about a downturn in the entertainment industry, Prime Video has announced a variety of new shows in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, along with extensions to existing series and direct-to-platform movie premieres.


During a discussion with filmmaker Karan Johar, Kelly Day, Vice President of Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios International, emphasized the significance of India as a key market, stating, "India is undoubtedly one of our most crucial markets globally... It ranks among our largest Original programming initiatives worldwide."


Nicole Clemens, Vice President of International Originals at Amazon MGM Studios, highlighted the global appeal of Indian content, noting that 25% of their audience and shows originate from outside India.


Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President for APAC & ANZ at Prime Video, expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming theatrical films from Prime Video and Amazon MGM Studios, which will later be available on the platform.


Upcoming films include the Hindi horror-comedy Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla, featuring Kartik Aaryan, and the Telugu romance DQ41, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Pooja Hegde. Other notable titles include VVAN – Force of the Forrest, a Hindi supernatural thriller with a star-studded cast.


The platform will also introduce new seasons of popular series such as Dahaad, featuring Sonakshi Sinha, Farzi with Shahid Kapoor, and Call Me Bae starring Ananya Panday.



In the second season of Farzi, directed by Raj & DK, Shahid Kapoor returns as an art forger, joined by a talented cast including Vijay Sethupathi and Bhuvan Arora. The plot revolves around a revenge-driven character named Sunny and Michael, who is entangled in a battle against counterfeiting.


The second season of Dahaad, helmed by Reema Kagti and Ruchika Oberoi, follows Sonakshi Sinha’s character, sub-inspector Anjali Meghwal, as she pursues another serial killer. The cast includes Gulshan Devaiah and Vineet Kumar Singh.



Returning shows include Dupahiya, Sapne vs Everyone, Gram Chikitsalay, and Sandeep Bhaiya, with Panchayat set to return for its fifth season.


The new chapter of Inspector Rishi features Naveen Chandra as a police officer investigating abductions with supernatural ties, alongside a talented cast.



The second season of Vadhandhi follows a police inspector on a punishment posting as he attempts to save a man wrongfully convicted.


Created and directed by Andrew Louis, the Tamil series features a talented cast including M Sasikumar and Revathy Sharma.



NEW SERIES


Storm is a new Hindi series produced by Hrithik Roshan’s HRX Films, created and directed by Ajitpal Singh. The story revolves around five women entangled in a web of deception linked to a sustainable housing project gone awry.


The cast includes Parvathy Thiruvothu and Saba Azad.


Matka King marks the debut of Sairat director Nagraj Manjule in Hindi, telling the story of a cotton trader in 1960s Mumbai who creates a gambling game that disrupts the elite.


The show stars Vijay Varma and Kritika Kamra.



Welcome to Khoya Mahal is a Hindi series directed by Konkona Sensharma and Jaydeep Sarkar, focusing on aristocratic siblings who must manage their family’s heritage hotel while uncovering its secrets.



Adarsh Baal Vidyalaya follows a headmaster attempting to revitalize a struggling school, leading to comedic situations. The series stars Kay Kay Menon and Naveen Kasturia.


Nazdeekiyan tells the story of Seher and Abhay, whose collaboration intertwines their spouses in a complex relationship.



Exam is a Tamil series about a woman exposing a paper leak scam, while Tax Department Story follows a new officer confronting a powerful criminal in Agra.



College Fest depicts a college event where a mysterious infection turns students into zombies, while Isakapatnam is set in the 1990s, focusing on a woman seeking justice.



Gully centers on a high-stakes cricket match involving players, criminals, and police, while Dono Mile Iss Tarah follows a couple trying to rekindle their teenage romance.



Anarth tells the story of a motherless child and a childless mother facing a sinister presence, while Rafoo follows a struggling singer living with his ex-mother-in-law.



The Revolutionaries is based on Sanjeev Sanyal’s book, depicting four young individuals challenging the British Raj, while Phoolan revisits the life of the infamous bandit Phoolan Devi.



Carnaame – Badla Gear Palti Kismat follows four friends who steal cars to pay off debts, while Guvvala Cheruvu Ghat explores themes of identity and chaos in a feudal South Indian town.



Lukkhe follows a young sportsman infiltrating Punjab's rap music scene to investigate a drug syndicate, while Raakh centers on a family shattered by the disappearance of two teenagers.



Vansh – The Kalyug Warriors follows a college student discovering his immortal lineage, while The Pyramid Scheme explores the chaos of a pyramid marketing business.



Teen Kauwe follows an ex-secret agent returning to find a traitor, while Jagamae Sangeetham tells a story of a disciplined heir and a fame-weary singer.
