President Droupadi Murmu Moved by Students' Heartfelt Birthday Song
Emotional Birthday Celebration at NIEPVD
On Friday, President Droupadi Murmu was deeply touched during a performance by students from the National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities (NIEPVD) in Dehradun. Celebrating her 67th birthday, the President was surprised by a musical tribute from the students, who sang a touching birthday song that included the lyrics, 'Baar-Baar din ye aaye, baar-baar dil ye gaaye, aap jiye hazaro saal, ye meri hai aarzoo.' The event was also attended by Uttarakhand Governor Lt General Gurmit Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami.
The heartfelt performance brought tears to the President's eyes, prompting an officer to offer her a handkerchief. This emotional moment became the highlight of the occasion.

President Murmu's Heartfelt Response
In her address to the students, President Murmu praised their performance, stating, 'It seemed they were singing with their hearts, not just their voices.'
With tears in her eyes, she expressed, 'The tears did not stop from my eyes. It felt as though they were singing from their hearts, as if God himself resided in their voices.'
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his birthday wishes to the President, hoping for her long and healthy life. He shared on X, 'Warmest birthday wishes to Rashtrapati Ji.
