Samyuktha Hegde Criticizes Pranit More
Kannada actress Samyuktha Hegde took to Instagram to voice her disapproval of Pranit More's apology. She pointed out that he appeared to be reading from a teleprompter and criticized his behavior during the comedy show. The controversy began when Jangra shared that he had paid Rs 370 for a plate of chicken biryani on a date, expecting sexual favors in return. In his apology, Pranit sought a chance to better himself.
Samyuktha, known for her roles in South Indian cinema, harshly criticized the comedian, stating, “Pranit, stop reading a teleprompt.” She emphasized that his actions reflected his true character and labeled them as ‘shameful’.
She further remarked, “This is R@pe culture, and your mind and most minds in our country are conditioned to believe this is okay, but it’s not. Your sorry means nothing!” Samyuktha criticized not only Pranit but also Jangra and the audience, asserting that comedy should not normalize such serious issues.
She concluded her remarks by stating, “Don’t sell anything as comedy and expect people to react well to it. A country where 4 rapes are reported every hour, this is not humour!”
