Pranit More has rejoined Instagram after his account was suspended due to backlash from a controversial joke about biryani. In his recent statement, the comedian expressed his regret for any offense caused. He recognized that the criticism he received was justified, admitting he could have intervened to prevent derogatory comments during his performance.

In a video shared on Instagram, Pranit remarked, 'I have wanted to address this for a long time, but my Instagram was suspended. You may have seen a video of my crowd work that drew significant criticism, and I believe I deserve this backlash. During that interaction, several inappropriate remarks were made, and I, too, was laughing, which led to a lapse in my judgment. This was a serious mistake on my part. I could have stopped him and taken a stand, but I failed to do so. I provided him a platform, which caused the situation to escalate. I want to apologize to anyone who was hurt because of this. I am also cooperating with the authorities regarding any legal actions taken against me. I just want to request that you give me another chance; I will strive to be a better person. This has been a learning experience for me. I am also working on myself and will improve my content. You will see these changes in my future work.'

Following the controversy, the Maharashtra Cyber Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against More and Himanshu Jangra, a resident of Gurgaon, who made inappropriate comments about his dating expectations.
