On Tuesday, she took to Instagram to share two images: one showcasing her baby bump with her T-shirt lifted, and another where she poses with her shirt down, still emphasizing her bump for the camera.

In her post, she included emojis of a pregnant woman, a milk bottle, and a baby. However, sources close to the situation have suggested that this could be an elaborate April Fool’s joke. Many users online are skeptical, with some claiming the images are "AI-generated." This skepticism stems from a previous incident in February 2024, when her team announced her death from cervical cancer on her official Instagram account.
The day after the announcement, Poonam clarified that it was a publicity stunt aimed at raising awareness about cervical cancer, which sparked considerable controversy.
Poonam gained fame through her social media presence, particularly on Twitter, where she began sharing semi-nude photographs. She first captured media attention when she vowed to strip if the Indian cricket team won the 2011 Cricket World Cup.

In 2017, she launched the Pandey App, which featured adult content. Poonam married her long-time partner Sam Ahmed Bombay in 2020, but their wedding was kept private due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She later filed a complaint against him, alleging molestation, threats, and assault, which led to his arrest in Goa. This incident occurred in Canacona village while she was filming a movie. Their relationship ended shortly after, with Poonam describing the four-year ordeal as traumatic, resulting in hospitalization, and she subsequently sought a divorce citing severe physical abuse.
