Drawing parallels with the beloved character from the film, Omi reminded his followers of Wangchuk's significant contributions. Currently, Wangchuk's health is declining as he continues his indefinite hunger strike, which has garnered national attention.

Concerns Over Sonam Wangchuk's Health

Omi expressed worry about Wangchuk's health, noting that his blood sugar levels have dropped significantly during the fast. He questioned whether the situation was receiving adequate public and media attention. "He stood up for students and for change. Today, he needs our support," Omi stated in his video. He explained that Wangchuk's protest addresses critical issues related to education, Ladakh's autonomy, and environmental concerns. Reasons Behind Sonam Wangchuk's Hunger Strike

Sonam Wangchuk has been on an indefinite hunger strike for over two weeks, reportedly losing nearly 9 kg since the start of his fast. He joined the Cockroach Janta Party's protest on June 28, which began on June 20, focusing on alleged irregularities in the NEET exam and broader issues within India's education system. The protesters are calling for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and compensation for families of students who have tragically taken their lives following the examination controversy.
