SYDNEY: The vibrant cultural heritage of Odisha was beautifully showcased in Sydney through the annual dance event organized by the Nrityashree Odissi Dance Academy, which is led by Debashree Das. This event celebrated the classical dance form of Odissi, highlighting the commitment and enthusiasm of students who have been diligently training under Das’ mentorship. As the academy's Founder and Creative Director, Debashree has been dedicated to promoting Odissi in Australia, providing avenues for the younger generation to engage with India's rich cultural traditions.

The evening was filled with captivating Odissi performances, allowing attendees to appreciate the elegance, expressive movements, and narrative elements that define this classical dance style. Additionally, guest artists from the Mayura Academy enriched the program with Kuchipudi performances, adding further depth to the celebration.

Reflecting on the event, Debashree expressed immense satisfaction in witnessing her students perform after months of hard work. She extended her heartfelt thanks to the students, parents, volunteers, sponsors, and all those who played a role in the event's success.
