Nupur Sanon's Fashion Line Faces Backlash Over Pricing

Criticism Surrounds Label Nobo

Nupur Sanon, sister of Bollywood star Kriti Sanon, is facing significant backlash for her new fashion venture, Label Nobo. Social media platforms are flooded with comments from users who criticize the brand for offering basic clothing at exorbitant prices, with some even suggesting it feels like a scam.

Founded in 2024, Label Nobo, which translates to 'No Boundaries,' claims to provide 'high-quality premium fabrics.' The brand has received endorsements from various celebrities, including Kriti Sanon, Uorfi Javed, Sanjana Sanghi, and Rida Tharana.

Despite these endorsements, many online users are unhappy with the pricing structure. The lowest-priced dress starts at approximately 7,000 Rs, while the most expensive kurta set is priced at 26,500 Rs. A Banarasi lehenga is available for 21,000 Rs, and a western wear set comprising a skirt and crop top costs around 20,000 Rs, with shorts priced at 2,400 Rs.

Critics on Reddit have been particularly vocal. One user remarked, 'Her brand name seems incomplete because she forgot to add that nobody is buying this overpriced fast fashion.' Another questioned, 'Who would pay these prices just because it's her sister's brand?' Additional comments included accusations of scamming and general disbelief at the pricing.

Numerous other negative remarks followed, with one user calling the prices 'ridiculous' and another stating they found better quality items in local markets for under 1,500 Rs. One harsh critique noted, 'These are the ugliest clothes I've ever seen, good lord.'
