The producers of KD: The Devil have taken down Nora Fatehi’s song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke from YouTube after receiving significant criticism. The song, which was launched in several languages, faced backlash due to its visuals and suggestive lyrics, prompting strong reactions from online users. Just a day after its debut, the video was set to private, leading to a 'Video unavailable' notice on YouTube. This incident has also attracted attention from the National Human Rights Commission, intensifying scrutiny on the film.

Removal of Nora Fatehi’s Song Due to Controversial Content

Released on March 15 in Kannada, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam, the song Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke quickly gained popularity. However, it wasn't long before social media users expressed their disapproval of the track's content. Many criticized the suggestive lyrics and provocative visuals, leading to the video being made inaccessible within a day. The song features Nora Fatehi in a dance bar setting, adorned in a ghagra choli, accompanied by male dancers. A specific dance move involving her pallu caught the attention of viewers, including a similar move by Sanjay Dutt, which sparked further reactions. Critics claimed the visuals were inappropriate and the lyrics contained double meanings. The lyrics were penned by Raqueeb Alam, with music composed by Arjun Janya. Meanwhile, the Kannada version titled Sarse Ninna Seraga Sarse remains available for streaming.

The situation escalated when reports indicated that the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) had taken notice of the issue. Priyank Kanungo, a commission member, publicly condemned the song’s content, questioning its appropriateness for family audiences.

Industry Reactions to the Song's Controversy

The song also drew responses from various celebrities. Director Onir took to social media platform X to criticize the content, labeling it inappropriate and questioning the broader issues of censorship. Composer and singer Armaan Malik expressed his disappointment regarding the lyrics of Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, responding to a viral post that criticized the track. He mentioned that the song appeared on his timeline, prompting him to listen again to confirm his initial thoughts.

Malik remarked that commercial songwriting had hit a new low with this track featuring Nora Fatehi. In another post, he expressed a wish to 'unhear' the song. The song was launched at a promotional event in Bengaluru, where Nora Fatehi expressed her enthusiasm about entering the Kannada film industry through this project, describing the audio-visual presentation as grand and noting that the opportunity came to her at the last moment.
