Actress Nikita Dutta, known for her recent role alongside Saif Ali Khan in 'Jewel Thief', has announced that she and her mother have contracted COVID-19. She took to Instagram to inform her followers, urging them to prioritize their safety.

In her Instagram story, Nikita expressed, "COVID has come to say hello to my mum and me. Hoping this uninvited guest doesn’t stay long. See you after this short quarantine. Stay safe, everyone."

Currently, Nikita is in home quarantine and is reportedly experiencing mild symptoms. She has decided to postpone all her professional engagements until further notice.

Shilpa Shirodkar Also Tests Positive

In related news, actress Shilpa Shirodkar, known for her participation in Bigg Boss 18, also tested positive for COVID-19. She shared her diagnosis on Instagram on May 19, coinciding with a resurgence of COVID-19 cases in India.

Shilpa wrote, "Hello people! I’ve been tested positive for COVID. Stay safe and wear your masks!" in her post, adding a heartfelt reminder to her followers to stay safe.
