New Bihu Song 'De Dheki De' Launched by Assamese Singer Abhishruti Bezbaruah

Launch of 'De Dheki De' at Guwahati Press Club

Guwahati, March 20: The latest Bihu track titled 'De Dheki De' by Assamese artist Abhishruti Bezbaruah was unveiled on Friday during a special event at the Guwahati Press Club in Ambari.

The launch featured a screening of the song and attracted numerous prominent figures from Assam's cultural community. Sita Monisha Hazarika served as the chief guest, while notable attendees included Diganta Bharati, Poran Borkataky, Ibson Lal Barua, and Samujjal Kashyap.

Taking place from 1 pm to 3 pm, the event gathered artists, media representatives, and cultural aficionados, all celebrating the essence of Rongali Bihu through music and performances. The gathering concluded with a lunch for all participants.

Abhishruti Bezbaruah shared insights about her creative process, stating, "Previously, I released 'Roi Roi Roti', influenced by my experiences in Bollywood and Hollywood, where we integrated the sounds of tatxal. In 'De Dheki De', we have incorporated the traditional dheki sounds along with various indigenous instruments, creating a fusion. For me, fusion is not merely about using Western instruments; it’s about reinterpreting traditional sounds in a modern context."

'De Dheki De' enriches the collection of Bihu songs just in time for the festive season, showcasing Assam's rich musical heritage and innovative artistic expressions.
