In her conversation with Harper's Bazaar, Natalie expressed, "I’m just very grateful. I know it’s such a privilege and a miracle." She also acknowledged the challenges many face when trying to conceive, sharing that several people close to her have encountered difficulties. Portman considers herself fortunate and emphasized her deep appreciation for her situation, stating, "I have deep appreciation and gratitude."
Currently, she is relishing her pregnancy in Paris, where she has spent considerable time with Tanguy. The beautiful spring weather has added to her joy as she enjoys leisurely walks in parks and visits to art galleries. She humorously noted that in France, a full-term pregnancy is regarded as lasting 41 weeks instead of the typical 40. This time around, she is choosing to ignore much of the social media advice and feels more relaxed and confident due to her previous experiences as a mother. Portman highlighted that being present and loving is what truly matters for expectant mothers. She also shared that her cravings have primarily been for fruits, particularly pineapple and melon.
Upcoming Projects
On the professional front, the actress and producer has recently completed work on two projects under her production company, MountainA, which she co-founded with Sophie Mas in 2020. The company focuses on stories directed by women, often highlighting female perspectives. As for her acting career, Portman will portray a stressed art dealer in the dark comedy The Gallerist, directed by Cathy Yan, which is set to premiere later this year. The plot revolves around her character attempting to sell a deceased body at Art Basel Miami. Additionally, she will appear in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy Good Sex, directed by Lena Dunham, which is scheduled for release next year and features a star-studded cast including Mark Ruffalo, Meg Ryan, and Rashida Jones.
